Health Message (October 17, 2026)
Good Church Family,
Can sharing and helping others improve your health? Most defiantly! Here are some of the benefits.
1. Supports Health
People who regularly volunteer or help others often experience lower blood pressure and improved cardiovascular health, partly because helping reduce stress and promotes positive emotions.
2. Enhances Mental Well-Being
Sharing and connecting with others can: Reduce loneliness and isolation, increase feelings of belonging, improve self-esteem and confidence, lower the risk of anxiety and depression.
3. Strengthens Social Connections
God created us to be social creatures. Sharing with others helps build stronger relationships, which are linked to better physical and emotional health.
4. Creates a Sense of Purpose
Feeling needed and making a positive difference in someone else's life can give you a greater sense of meaning, which is associated with better overall well-being and healthy aging.
"The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself." Proverbs 11:25.
"Divine wisdom has appointed, in the plan of salvation, the law of action and reaction, making the work of beneficence, in all its branches, twice blessed. Those who give to the needy bless others and are blessed themselves in a still greater degree....
That we might not lose the blessed results of benevolence; our Redeemer formed the plan of enlisting us as His coworkers. By a chain of circumstances which would call forth our charities, He bestows upon us the best means of cultivating benevolence and keeps us habitually giving to help the poor and to advance His cause. By their necessities, a ruined world are drawing forth from us talents of means and influence, to present to them the truth, of which they are in perishing need.... In bestowing, we bless others and thus accumulate true riches...." From the Heart (EGW)
