Happy Sabbath Saints,
I'm finding it hard to keep up with my exercise routine this fall, so I was glad to come across this article. I hope you find it helpful also.
To hate exercise less:
Create a realistic Plan. Use the tortoise as a role model, and you may benefit more from a moderate long-range exercise program than from a rigorous one that will cause you to become discouraged and quit within a few weeks, time.
Play and have fun. One of the most essential conditions of healthful exercise is a cheerful, cooperating mental state. Active games often afford better results in the way of physical development than the drills of the gym.
Try a variety of activities. The list is inexhaustible: hiking, gardening, bicycling, swimming, camping, skiing, skating, riding, and a host of other such activities can all be good along with running, walking, yoga, etc. Mix it up from day to day if you can and include other family members if possible.
"Remember exercise is one of the best remedies for disease," wrote John Harvey Kellogg back in 1893. But as Betty Nix observed nearly a century later, for some of us, exercise is a bore at best and chose at worst. If you feel that way, please consider the tips above. Compiled by Rachel Cabose.
"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." Mark 12:30 Loving God with all of our everything, including our bodies. Note that this verse does not have parameters about how to love God with all your strength. That is something you will discover as you go.
Happy fitness to you,
Sandra Jackson
