Good Sabbath Church Family,
Have you ever thought of the joy we gain when we are given a bouquet of flowers? Or the same kind of joy when we give them to a loved one. Why do the make us so happy? I love to buy flowers once every few days and keep them on my living room table. I so love to gaze at them, if you have a love relationship with God, you know that the beauty of flowers is a gift from Him.
As we look at a beautiful garden, with its opening buds, let us remember that this is an expression of our Father’s love. As we note the varied tints of the flowers and inhale their delicate fragrance, let us think of the words, “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” God has given us the flowers to teach us lessons of trust. “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” If the great Master Artist makes perfect and lovely that which is today, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, will He not care much more for the beings purchased by the blood of His only begotten Son?” (The Fair Flowers of Promise by Ellen G. White)
Flowers are peaceful and fragrant and colorful. They are wholesome and pure. They are good for our mental health. God was deliberate when He made them for us.
“Greater quality of life overall. The improved psychological well-being of those who interact with nature has been shown in numerous studies to result in greater feelings of positivity and hopefulness, comfort and relaxation and general overall happiness and satisfaction with life.” (Phycology Today)
May God Bless you Journey to good health.
