Happy Sabbath Saints:
Are you anti-aging or pro-aging? According to the popular anti-aging movement, the goal is to look younger than your age and fight against the age process. But research indicates you’ll be happier and healthier if you take a pro-aging approach to life. Instead of being only concerned with appearance or fearing your best days are behind you, pro-aging means you accept yourself and embrace what comes at every age and sage of life. People who take this positive approach to aging have a lower risk for diabetes, stroke, cancer, and heart disease. They also have better, cognitive function, higher quality sleep, are more physically active, and are less lonely and depressed (JAMAA Network Open).
Philippians 4:11-12: “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”
Faith in God’s love and overruling providence lightens the burdens of anxiety and care. It fills the heart with joy and contentment in the highest or the lowliest lot. Patriots and Prophets, page 600.
Be happy pro-aging in Christ,
