Health Message (March 21, 2026)

Good Sabbath Church Family,

Genesis 1:14-15

“Then God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.”

Before God created man He put the sun in place for our benefit. We see that the sunlight is a gift from God designed to strengthen the body, uplift the mind, and support recovery from illness.

Sister Ellen White connected sunlight with cheerfulness, vitality, and mental clarity, teaching that dark, closed rooms contributed to discouragement and poor health. She believed sunlight helped purify air, kill germs, and prevent disease, especially in homes, schools, and sickrooms.

“Seek to Understand Nature’s Remedies—Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power—these are the true remedies. Every person should have a knowledge of nature’s remedial agencies and how to apply them. It is essential both to understand the principles involved in the treatment of the sick and to have a practical training that will enable one rightly to use this knowledge.” (EGW, Child Guidance).

“God is the source of life and light and joy to the universe. Like rays of light from the sun, like the streams of water bursting from a living spring, blessings flow out from Him to all His creatures. And wherever the life of God is in the hearts of men, it will flow out to others in love and blessing.” (EGW, Steps to Christ)

Spring is here, let us take up the opportunities to enjoy the sunlight and be filled with the light of Christ!

May God Bless your Journey to Good Health!
