Happy Sabbath Church Family:
I'm sure you've guessed by now that being healthy is more than what we eat and how we
exercise. Job 41:11: "Whatever is under the whole heaven is Mine."
This week, let's focus on Reconnecting Face-to-Face. No amount of texts or video calls
can replace the bonds that form when we make real-life connections. This is the reason
for get-togethers, a nonstop swirl of events meant to reconnect people. What if you
avoided everyone all last year? What if you have been disconnected and alone? Life can
be so lonely and tiring.
Walk with a neighbor. Value having people to talk and move with closer to home. Plan
how you can do that.
Take a class. When I'm looking to build a friendship around a specific interest, classes
are where I look first. Look for an idea that excites you with an amount of attendees that
won't be overwhelming.
Volunteer. A simple source of connection is a volunteer position. It can be done at church,
in the community, at hospitals, food banks, etc.
Connection is the most basic and the bravest thing to build. Sometimes another person
will build it for us: other times, we have to build it ourselves. Have Courage!
Good Health to you,
Sandra Jackson
