Blessings on this Sabbath day, Church Family!
We are getting more an more sunshine these days and it is excellent weather for a walk.
Lets take advantage of the season and commit ourselves to some healthy walks.
"There is no exercise that can take the place of walking. by it the circulation of the blood is greatly improved. Walking, in all cases where it is possible, is the best remedy for the diseased bodies, because in this, all of the organs of the body are brought into use.
“Morning exercise, walking in the free, invigorating air of heaven, or cultivating flowers, small fruits, and vegetables, is the surest safeguard against colds, coughs, congestion of the brain, llinflammation of the liver, the kidneys, and the lungs, and a hundred other diseases.”
(Ellen G. White)
Benefits of walking:
• Burning calories and losing body fat.
• Strengthening your heart and lowering your blood pressure.
• Easing joint pain and preventing arthritis.
• Boosting your immune system and reducing your risk of infections.
• Increasing your energy levels and creativity.
• Improving your mood and reducing stress.
• Extending your life expectancy and quality of life.
You can enjoy these benefits by walking at a moderate pace for at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week. You can also vary your speed, distance, and terrain to challenge yourself and prevent boredom. To get started, all you need is a pair of comfortable shoes and a safe route. You can also use an activity tracker or app to monitor your progress and motivate yourself. You will be amazed at the improvements and before long you will be excited about walk time.
“For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:20
May God Bless Your Journey to Good Health!
