Health Message (August 09, 2025)

Good Sabbath Church,

I believe that God has a multitude of ways to speak to us, don't you?

"Many are the ways in which God is seeking to make Himself known to us and bring us into communion with Him. Nature speaks to our sense without ceasing. The open heart will be impressed with the love and glory of God as revealed through the works of His hands. The listening ear can hear and understand the communications of God through the things of nature. The green fields, the lofty trees, the buds and flowers, the passing cloud, the falling rain, the babbling brook, the glories of the heavens, speak to our hearts, and invite us to become acquainted with Him who made them all". (SC, Chapter 10)

Genesis 1:29 says, "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."

God treasured His creation and put the best food for His new humans in the Garden for their pleasure and for nourishment. Do you think that God also had love messages in our food?

Carrots when sliced resemble the eye and they're filled with vitamins and antioxidants which can help prevent macular degeneration, a common eye disease.

Walnuts look like our brain! They have a high content of omega-3 fatty acids which helps support brain function.

Celery looks like our bones and is a great source of silicon which is part of the molecule structure that gives bones their strength. Bones are 23% sodium and so is celery.

Tomatoes, studies have found that because of the lycopene in tomatoes there is a reduced risk for heart disease in men and women who eat them

"The poet and the naturalist have many things to say about nature, but it is the Christian who enjoys the beauty of the earth with the highest appreciation, because he recognizes his Father's handiwork and perceives His love in flower and shrub and tree. No one can fully appreciate the significance of hill and vale, river and sea, who does not look upon them as an expression of God's love to men." (SC, Chapter 10)

May God Bless Your Journey to Good Health,

Sister Sandra Torres
