Happy Sabbath Church Family and Visitors,

Eating Well on a Budget Part 3: Restaurants and Takeout

This can provide a much-needed respite or social experience that brings a lot of joy. Limit how often you eat at restaurants if you budget is particularly tight.

To be affordable, use food delivery apps sparingly. Delivery fees are one of the quickest ways for your food costs to spiral out of control. If possible, pick up dinner instead. Eat during happy hour: some restaurants offer discounts on appetizers during happy hour. Skip drinks and order several appetizers instead of a full meal.

It may not be possible to completely numb the sting of rising food prices, but extra planning and a little creativity can go a long way.

Pg. 386 in Counsels on Diet and Foods: In every line of cooking the question that should be considered is, "How shall the food be prepared in the most natural and inexpensive manner?"

Proverbs 6:6,8: "Go to the ant... consider its ways and be wise!... It stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest."

May God be with each of you as you plan well for your families.

Blessings,

Sandra
