Happy Sabbath Saints:

Are you eating well? I know it's difficult these days with the prices of food being expensive. We all know how important a healthy diet is for preventing and managing chronic diseases like heart disease and type-2 diabetes, maintaining optimal energy levels, supporting an active lifestyle, and feeling our best overall. Sometimes it's difficult to justify buying the freshest organic produce or frequenting the trendiest health food restaurants.

It may require a shift in shopping habits or the types of food you purchase most often, but many strategies can help you get the most nutritional value for your dollar. You can try small changes like buying in bulk, eating more meatless meals, choose store brands, make a list, check for discounts, try frozen products, shop seasonal produce, plan meals around the most affordable produce, limit pre-prepped fruits and vegetables, organic isn't a must, lastly try "subscribe and save" options online.

In Ministry of Healing, page 23, it states: "Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator. These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing. They impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet."

1 Corinthians 10:31 - "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

Have a blessed Sabbath,

Sandra Jackson
