Good Sabbath Church Family,
Today I had a delicious soup that was perfect for a rainy day it was made with sweet potato and had turmeric, ginger, and curry. I am always feeling satisfied when I eat something that I know is pleasing to the health of my body.
Sweet potato: Rich in Fiber, Nutrient Dense rich in antioxidants, vitamins A, C, and E plus materials like potassium and manganese. High in iron and has antioxidant properties.
Turmeric: contains curcumin which is fat-soluble and has an anti-inflammatory compound and can also boost the development of new braincells.
It's an amazing thought that our Creator provided good food for us to sustain and improve the health of our bodies. To me I can almost hear Him say, "I love you and want you to prosper in all things and be in good health, just as your soul prospers." 3 John 1:2 (paraphrase).
Why can appetite be such a challenging plight for God's people today?

"All true obedience comes from the heart. It was the heart work with Christ. And if we consent, He will so identify Himself with our thoughts and aims, so blend our hearts and minds into conformity to His will, that when obeying Him we shall be but carrying out our own impulses. The will refined and sanctified, will find the highest delight in doing His service. When we know God as it is our privilege to know Him, our life will be a continual life of obedience. Through an appreciation of the character of Christ, through communion with God, sin will become hateful to us."
