Good Sabbath Church Family!
Where do you get your protein? Have you ever been asked this question from someone who thinks in unhealthy to leave meat out of your diet. Brothers and sisters, we should always be ready to educate and encourage others to choose healthy eating. In this way God can use us to bring them healing for any type of chronic disease. A plant base diet can reduce the risk, and we can help them to have a better quality of life.
So where do we get our protein on a plant-based diet? Protein is in almost everything:
Apples have 0.5g Protein and 4.6g Fiber
Bananas 1.2g Protein and 2.9g Fiber
Broccoli 8.3g Protein and 7.6g Fiber
Chickpeas 5.3g Protein and 7.6g Fiber
Kidney beans 6.7g Protein and 4.4g Fiber
Lentils 7.0g Protein and 4.4g Fiber
Peas 6.7g Protein 6.3g Fiber
Spinach 12.4g Protein and 9.6g Fiber
It is such a blessing to know that God made sure we would have the nutrients we needed for a strong healthy body in the plants He made for food. It is another testimony of His great love for us! But we are left with the free will to make the right choices.
“One of the strongest temptations that man has to meet is upon the point of appetite. In the beginning the Lord made man upright. He was created with a perfectly balanced mind, the size and strength of all his organs being fully and harmoniously developed. But through the seductions of the wily foe the prohibition of God was disregarded, and the laws of nature wrought out their full penalty.” (Counsels on Health)
May God Bless Your Journey to Good Health,
Your Sister in Christ, Sandra Torres
